Merry Christmas

Wow! How can it possibly be time for Christmas break. We have been very busy in first grade. Pictures will be uploaded to share some happenings. Thank you for your hard work on the Christmas brunch and Christmas chapel. Thank you for helping with the party. Most of all, thank you for allowing me the priveledge to teach your child and share the love of God with them. Have a very super day and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Our Visit from Mr. Whelan

We are back!

We went to computer class and we made Christmas cards for soldiers. We made Mary and Joseph for our nativity scene. In math we counted by twos and fives and looked for patterns in numbers. We are going to have gym tomorrow. In Jesus time, we sang songs. In PE yesterday we played Hunter, Hunter two different ways. Yesterday we pretended we were on a plane and went to Italy. Marvelous Monday

In recess we played football. In science we learned how many points a snowflake has. We learned the big word for a weather person - meteorologist. We colored in science. We did spelling. We learned about Pilgrims and Indians. We read a book about Pocahontas. Pocahontas saved Captain John Smith. We read letters from our Flat Stanley's adventures. We got 6 new letters this week - two were from Australia. Love, the first grade buzzing bees
