Last Day of September Fun

Congratulations to Mara's family on the birth of her sister. We can wait to meet her. In Jesus time we made the ark of the covenant. We put in reminders of God's love - the Bible, a heart, the 10 commandments, and a cross. We had computer lab. We skyped Ava's dad in Germany. It was very fun to talk to him and see him at his work in Germany. We went on power point in computers. We earned stickers for doing good team work in math. We are proud that we earned stickers. We used red and blue crayons in math with our teamwork. We went to Mrs. Fink's class and read a story about John called John's Creatures. It was a true story. We went to music. We had calendar. Tomorrow we will start an ABC calendar pattern. It has been a super day!

Wonderful Wednesday!

We had P.E. In P.E., we had free time after we ran to the green fence and back. We had chapel. We wore our chapel shirts and went to chapel with our chapel buddies. We had science and we made a watering pot and we put in a piece of paper that tells us what plants need. We had two recesses. Some of us played volleyball. We had handwriting and math. Applesauce Fun

We had a great job of making applesauce. You will see a picture of the apples before they cooked and one of the finished product. Thank you to Whitney, Ethan, and Kendall's mom for your help with the apple projects.

Monday's Fun!

We had a great Monday! We were able to pet baby sheep. We made applesauce. We peeled and cut apples to make the applesauce. It was really yummy. We made apple prints with paint and apples. We had social studies. We learned about puddles and lakes. We went to Mrs. Fink's class. We made apple books about Johnny Appleseed. It was wonderful. We had Jesus time. We colored the sun and the rain in science. We had calendar time. So far, it was the best day ever. Love, the first grade buzzing bees

We enjoyed trying different apple foods.

Wonderful Wednesday!

We went to chapel with our chapel buddies. We sang to the ladies Bible study. Ask us to sing our grumpy song. We had our second spelling test. We went to Mrs. Fink's class. We learned about animals - mammals and fish. We graphed apples. Red was our favorite apple. We tried apple pie, apple rolls, dried apples, and apple cider. We like apple rolls the best. Have a super night!

Terrific Tuesday!

We went to Mrs. Fink's classroom for science and reading/phonics. We had a math. We learned about Johnny Appleseed. We learned Johnny Appleseed walked barefoot with a pot on his head. Stories say he was bit by a rattlesnake, but he did not get hurt because his feet were so tough. Johnny Appleseed died in 1845 and was over 70 years old. We learned about apples. We had lunch. We celebrated Mr. Erickson's birthday at lunch. We got thumbprints today. We had a super day! Love, the first grade buzzing bees.

Marvelous Monday

We had math and reading. We had calendar and handwriting. We learned about animals and their different skins. We did phonics and we learned about the Ten Commandments in Jesus Time. Our plants began to grow over the weekend. We had eye and ear tests today. We practiced our spelling test. Please be sure to look at the previous posts which have pictures from last week. Karate Fun
